Positive Journal

I recently read about a women who felt (okay she was told be others also!) she was always negative and complaining. Thus, she decided to focus on what was working and what she was grateful for each day. I have not been told that I am negative, but I am feeling a bit negative at heart. I am unsure as to why this is the case, except that I am overwhelmed by everything I have to do. I know everyone, in today's world, are busy thus I should not be negative.

Here are some guidelines I have set for myself:

--Set an intention of who you want to be for the day (put the energy behind this to shift your energy)

--Forgiveness - not just others but yourself - letting go of things and do not beat yourself up about things (I have trouble with this)

--Triumphs- what is awesome or what is working (in other words toot your own horn- I hate doing this as I feel I am bragging)

--Put a positive spin on all outcomes- how can the situation been seen as a positive

MOTTO: Oh but wait there is more!- There is always more to the day, to the person, and to what can be done. is my first entry on trying to be positive. Since the day is almost done, I am going to set my intention for tomorrow. I want to be put my energy around just being with my kids and dog, instead of working or working during our discussions. My energy is to be content on just being with them, instead of being busy. I will forgive myself for (I know this is going to happen) being upset about my children not picking up after themselves, and let go of the fact that this is an issue for my children (who is it hurting?). I will toot my horn or something tomorrow.

I will let you know how this goes!
